9pm in Shawnee National Forest

Commissioned by Brittany Martin “I love backpacking, and there is something about being in the woods at night by yourself that is especially terrifying and makes you feel alive. If there is any way the piece could have that vibe, it would be super cool. Maybe no words, just vowels. Or a series of words that capture that feeing but aren’t in a poetic or prosaic structure. Just some ideas but I’m excited about anything!”
